Well first of all, you need to understand the basic of English, otherwise you can't survive well here.
As for the first few weeks, I strongly suggest you to walk around the campus, figuring out the facilities location and building structure here or get to know some people not from your courses, that will be great help in your coming years. (use the students handbook you got during your first orientation day as your guideline, the book is fitted with almost everything you need to know)
Feel free to talk to the seniors around (you can tell by looking at them actually, nevermind if can't), they are quite friendly in my opinion.
Also, we do have events from time to time, so make sure to check the Taylor's Portal every few days or so.
